AEROSPACE & DEFENSE — 27 YEARS OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION

One of RMF’s longest-standing engagements is with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Florida — a Lockheed Martin facility running military-aircraft manufacturing and flight operations since 1999. The facility demanded a brigade trained in ARFF, structural firefighting, aircraft rescue, and advanced life support. RMF has been the sole provider for 27 consecutive years.

Why This Matters: Long-tenure aerospace relationships prove RMF’s ability to maintain compliance, understand complex hazards, and deliver predictable costs over decades. We don’t rotate in and out; we become part of your operational rhythm.

WHAT WE DELIVERED AT THIS AEROSPACE FACILITY

ARFF Operations Certified ARFF personnel trained to 14 CFR Part 139 standards. Equipped for large-aircraft incidents, fuel-system fires, and rapid extraction. RMF maintains 100% compliance across all Part 139 operations.

Structural Firefighting Manufacturing halls, assembly bays, and maintenance areas. Coordination with facility suppression systems, deluge isolation, and fuel-system fire suppression protocols.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) EMS On-site paramedics for crush, inhalation, and burn trauma — the injuries most likely in aerospace incidents. Rapid transport coordination and pre-hospital care.

Aircraft Rescue & Extrication Rapid personnel extraction from damaged aircraft. Specialized equipment, training, and drills specific to the facility’s aircraft types and operational profile.

Site Familiarization & Pre-Planning 27 years means our brigades know every building, every hazard, every access route. New personnel inherit decades of site-specific knowledge, not a learning curve.

Prime Contractor — Everything RMF All staffing, training, apparatus, maintenance, and compliance is owned and operated by RMF. No subcontracting. No third-party dependency. We are accountable for every shift, every response, every outcome.

REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE FRAMEWORK

14 CFR Part 139 (Airport operations) — RMF staffs and equips ARFF programs to Index standards (A–E) based on aircraft size.

OSHA 1910.155–.165 (Fire detection, alarm, suppression) — On-site brigades serve as primary responders and integrate with facility systems.

NFPA 1710 (Career fire department operations) — RMF meets or exceeds deployment and response-time expectations for aerospace risk profiles.

DoD / DCMA Contract Requirements — Pre-identified staffing, equipment, and readiness for federal facilities and contractors.

STAFFING MODEL

On-site brigades operate 24/7 across day, swing, and night shifts. Typical staffing includes:

  • Shift Captain / Incident Commander — Leads response, site familiarization, compliance
  • Firefighters / Paramedics — Dual-certified for structural, ARFF, and EMS calls
  • Equipment Specialists — Apparatus maintenance, system checks, drills
  • Training Coordinator — Site-specific pre-planning, scenario drills, personnel recertification
